WEMOS D1 mini ESP8266 is a versatile board with a built-in ESP8266-12F module. It is equipped with a high-performance USB-UART (CH340) converter that enables direct programming via the USB-C connector without the need for additional converters. The module provides 9 GPIO ports supporting popular communication interfaces such as PWM, I2C, SPI and 1-Wire. An integrated 3.3V voltage regulator allows convenient powering of the circuit directly via the USB port.

The microcontroller is fully compatible with the Arduino IDE environment and works perfectly in projects based on ESP Home and Home Assistant.

Key technical features

The board stands out with its compact dimensions of 34 x 25 mm and a USB-C connector. The circuit is based on an 80MHz RISC processor with the ability to operate at 160MHz. It has 4MB of built-in flash memory and an integrated PCB antenna. Wireless communication uses the Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n standard with support for AP, STA and AP+STA modes.
