The ACS712 module is a precise current sensor based on the Hall effect, designed for measuring currents up to a maximum of 5A. It is an ideal choice for projects using microcontrollers - it works excellently with Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, as well as AVR and PIC. This compact sensor effectively measures current from hundreds of mA up to 5A. Note that the maximum 5A value can only be sustained for a short time to avoid damaging the device.
