The ISD1820 module is a versatile circuit for easy sound recording and playback. By default it offers memory for up to about 11 seconds of audio. Thanks to the onboard buttons, the module can work fully standalone, but it also works well when controlled by a microcontroller. The integrated microphone lets you capture sound without external sources, and recordings are safely stored in non-volatile memory even after power is removed.

The device offers flexible playback modes. Pressing the PLAYE button plays the entire stored message. The PLAYL button plays audio for as long as it remains pressed. In addition, by setting the jumper on the board appropriately, you can enable continuous loop playback of the message.
