The commutator plays a key role in the functioning of the engine:
- Commutator - is the element responsible for continuously changing the polarity of the voltage applied to the windings. Thanks to this mechanism, the motor's rotor spins invariably in the same direction, ensuring stability and efficient operation.
MT78 mini engine - principles of operation:
- Voltage from an external power source is applied to the commutator, which is connected to the rotor windings.
- When current flows through the windings, a magnetic field is generated.
- The magnetic field interacts with the magnetic field of the stator, which is created by the permanent magnets without windings.
- The interdependent interaction of the magnetic fields leads to the rotation of the rotor.
