Instructions

Terminating conductors with solder-lined heat-shrink splices is straightforward and low effort.

1. Strip both ends, then twist the exposed strands together.
2. Slide the correctly sized shrink tube onto the wire before twisting, then position it so the solder ring sits centred over the joined copper strands.
3. The clear adhesive-lined sleeve should also cover factory insulation on both sides of the joint.
4. Heat evenly with a heat gun or lighter until the tube shrinks fully and the solder flows completely.

After cooling, the splice forms a joint that is fully mechanically robust and watertight.
