Description
Module Description and Purpose
A compact Li-Ion and Li-poly battery charging module based on the efficient IP2326 control IC. In its standard configuration, the device supports 2S cell packs, with the option of a simple hardware modification to support 3S packs. The maximum charging current is 1.5A with total power up to 15W. Power can be supplied via the integrated USB-C connector or dedicated solder pads. The circuit performs a complete, safe CC/CV charging cycle-constant current and constant voltage-optimizing the process of charging 18650 cells.

Protection and Status Indication
The module provides real-time status information via built-in SMD LEDs. A lit red LED confirms the presence of supply voltage. The blue LED indicates an ongoing charging process, while blinking indicates an error. An integrated controller ensures the safety of the circuit and cells, offering the following protection features:
- Short-circuit protection (SCP) and overcurrent protection (OCR)
- Overvoltage protection for charging voltage (OVP)
- Built-in thermal protection (OTR) activating at 135 degrees Celsius
- Soft-start technology minimizing inrush current during charging cycle initialization
- Connector dedicated for an external NTC 100K thermistor for precise battery pack temperature monitoring
Configuration Options
The IP2326 controller offers advanced parameter customization by replacing SMD resistors on the board. The designer can reconfigure the end-of-charge voltage (CV) by selecting the appropriate resistance on the VSET input. Constant charging current (CC) can also be calibrated by modifying the ISET component value. Additionally, the circuit allows hardware setting of the lower (RUV) and upper (ROV) supply voltage thresholds, as well as implementation of a hardware time limit for the process via the ROT input.
