Description
Time-delay relay with timer delay, 10 timer modes, loop delay, cyclic
A versatile relay module with a built-in timer, ideal for automation projects, including Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. It offers 9 operating modes and a wide time range-from 0.1 second to 999 minutes-making it suitable for many advanced applications. A major advantage is the settings memory function after power loss.
The module is easy to use with four intuitive buttons. It has a clear display and an LED indicating relay activation. The trigger port allows starting and stopping the countdown, continuous operation, and cyclic relay on/off switching.
Key technical specifications
- Supply voltage: 5V to 20V DC
- Trigger voltage: 1.3V to 20V DC (opto-isolated)
- Time range: 0.1 second to 999 minutes
- Relay load: 10A at 250V AC
- Current consumption: approx. 10mA (relay off), 110mA (relay on)
- Dimensions: 62 mm x 38 mm x 18 mm
- Compatibility: ESP8266, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi
Example applications
- Automatic lighting control with delayed switch-off
- Cyclic pump or fan operation in ventilation systems
- Delayed power-on in audio systems and amplifiers
- Industrial process control requiring precise timing
- Alarm systems with a defined siren activation time
Benefits
- Versatility - 9 different operating modes suit almost any project
- Reliability - settings memory protects configuration from voltage drops
- Safety - opto-isolated trigger input protects the control circuit from interference
- Energy efficiency - optional display sleep after 5 minutes of inactivity
- Wide voltage range - flexible supply and triggering for integration with various systems
How to configure functions
To enter configuration mode, hold the SET button for 2 seconds. Then use UP and DOWN to select the desired function. After selecting, a short press of SET lets you set the time with UP and DOWN. Confirm by holding SET again for 2 seconds.
Change the decimal position (time range) with the STOP button while entering values:
- XXX. - range 1 to 999 seconds
- XX.X - range 0.1 to 99.9 seconds
- X.X.X. - range 1 to 999 minutes
The module also has a sleep mode. Hold STOP for 2 seconds (until C-P appears) to enable display dimming after 5 minutes without a trigger signal. Repeat to return to normal mode (O-d).
Operating mode descriptions
- Mode p1.1 - trigger activation turns the relay on for the set time (OP). Retriggering does not reset the counter.
- Mode p1.2 - trigger activation turns the relay on for the set time (OP). Retriggering resets the timer from the start.
- Mode p1.3 - trigger activation turns the relay on for the set time (OP). Retriggering immediately turns the relay off and resets the time.
- Mode p2 - trigger activation starts a delay countdown (CL), after which the relay turns on for the set time (OP).
- Mode p3.1 - trigger activation turns the relay on for time (OP), then a delay (CL) follows. The cycle repeats for the set number of times (LOP) or indefinitely (---).
- Mode p3.2 - same as p3.1, but the trigger is power-on of the module.
- Mode p4 - the relay stays on while the trigger signal is present. After it ends, time (OP) counts down until the relay turns off.
